◈ Hi I'm Nekyua, an illustrator, Live2D artist/rigger, and virtual streamer. I've been focused on streaming for the last two or so years, but have tabled at a good handful of conventions many years ago. I'm currently working on growing in my L2D works, and figuring out a game plan for more physical and digital goods in the next year or two :)◈ For clarity, and for those who also want safe community, I am a 29 year old second gen mixed white and Vietnamese American, nonbinary, transmasculine, queer, polyamorous, light in kink, and neurodivergent.

It may be a long read, but it’s important to establish the guides for safety, and the general values many in this community hold.Inclusivity, acceptance, comfort, and safety for marginalized identities is the most important thing here. This space is made by and for marginalized folks. The voices and comfort of BIPOC, QTPOC, and POC are the top priority here, and if you won’t listen to these voices then you’re not welcome here.We work to moderate this community with intersectionality at the core and front of needs.
Intersectionality matters, and there are many complex layers to marginalization.I’d like to make it clear that though we like to explore and go through a lot of conversations on experiences and understanding more, in no case do we want marginalized individuals to have to give emotional labor to educate others. For guests here, you’re welcome to ask things, but know that you’re not entitled to any answers.Here’s also a resource on inclusive language that sort of applies to all of the topics we go over :3

Black, Indigenous, and people of color. We acknowledge that not all people of color face equal levels of injustice, discrimination, prejudice, etc. Legislative and systemic racism continues to oppress, invalidate, and affect Black and Indigenous people in ways many other people of color may not experience. Black and Indigenous individuals, and communities, still bear the impact of slavery, and genocide. In this spirit, we are very anti-colonialist, and anti-racism. We acknowledge that individuals in the United States, amongst many other countries, live on stolen land.

Racism is not tolerated whatsoever. It will result in immediate and permanent removal to this community, and likely restriction or removal from connected communities. Outside of the obvious acts of racism, we include, but are not limited to:

I’d like to share this piece on the Cost of Racism to White People. In particular, scrolling down there’s a checklist that is very intriguing.

I think even for many of us POC, there may be many things that you’ve probably seen or experienced.

Lastly, we will not tolerate performative allyship, such as putting “safe space” on your pages/communities, with no systems to protect BIPOC. If you claim to be an ally, we will make note of that, if you never make any real gestures to that, we make note of that. You’d be more respected to not include that in the first place if you don’t plan to follow through.

⚪ WHITE PEOPLE ⚪

Put best in Ruby Hamad’s words,

The terms “white” and “people of color” are not descriptive, they are political. When we talk about “white people”, we are not really talking about skin color but about those who most benefit from whiteness. When we talk about “people of color”, we talk about those who are excluded.

🌈 LGBTQIA2S+ SPACE 🌈

aka LGBT, LGBTQ+, GSM (gender and sexual minorities) etc.

All under the LGBTQIA2S+ umbrella, and more, are welcome.
Those who may question, who have no labels, or fall into asexual/aromantic/agender sort of spectrums, please know you’re welcome here.

We recognize that LGBTQIA2S+ people of color face higher rates of discrimination in many more ways than their white LGBTQIA2S+ counterparts. Again, racism and microaggressions are not tolerated.

For those of you who are white and queer, you still benefit off the systems made for white people, off the suffering of especially Black and Indigenous people. Nor do you suffer from racial discrimination or profiling. Your experiences are often vastly different from your queer BIPOC peers, along with other groups such as disabled, and neurodivergent.

Please check and respect people’s pronouns.

Respect Neopronouns.

You don’t need to understand who uses what or why, just address people as they would like. Misgendering will be taken seriously and result in suspension or bans, and continued misgendering, intentional or not, will result in a permanent ban from this space. (And likely many close communities.)

*For reclamation of slurs around queerness specifically please ask first. You’re allowed to do as you please for yourself, but not everyone is comfortable with hearing certain terms. Be mindful of your peers.

There is no tolerance of ideologies such as TERFs,Truscum/Transmed, or the sort. Similarly, those who believe trans people need to have dysphoria, body shame (in general too not just for trans/nonbinary things), shame presentation/orientations, or voices, do not belong here.

Similarly to “white people”, we may bring up “men” in a similar way.
Often when “men” are brought up in conversation, it is political. It is about those who benefit the most, the toxic masculine cultures, patriarchal issues, and more.

Men are welcome here, but we are a community that often talks about intersectional topics and men tend to be at the forefront of those issues. Be prepared to have/hear/read those discussions, or feel welcome to leave if it makes you uncomfortable.

Additionally this is not an ok to be a transphobe and invalidate others’ masculinity by thinking they’re ‘one of the good ones’ or ‘fem enough’. Nor does it mean it’s ok to just blatantly hate every masc aligned subject for the sake of hating masculinity. “Traditional” masculinity and femininity roles are both full of positive and negative connotations, and every person’s personal view of it is different.

We work to keep this space safe and inclusive for the full range of neurodiverse experiences. We recognize that neurodivergent is an umbrella term that covers a wide range of cognitive diagnoses including, but not limited to, autism spectrum, ADHD, PTSD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, tourettes, and many others

Please do your best to refrain from using ableist language. Honestly I know it’s hard with how normalized some of these words are in many spaces and pop culture. Still, it’s appreciated to try our best with this!

🔞 18+ SPACE 🔞

Participation in both the twitch and discord spaces are at minimum 18+ spaces.

Preferably 21+, as many people around here are 20s~30s.

We try to curate it so NSFW spaces are for 21+.
We aim to keep this space safe for adults, and keep minors safely out of this environment.

If you want to DM others, please ask in public chats first if you can.

Do not lie about your age. At this time we do not ask for ID verification, but do not push this. (this may change in the future in discord for NSFW specific channel access.)

Minors found to be lying and participating in this space, will be permanently banned. We will not welcome users who may try to return once they are 18+ after violating that boundary.

18+ is not consent to be sexual or flirtatious towards other community members or streamers.

Memes, art, etc are fine in their respective channels. Respect people’s boundaries. Thoughtful conversations around sex and adult natured things are fine in those channels. Even with consent, heavily sexual/flirtatious convos with partners/friends/etc aren’t welcome in public spaces, please take that to DMs ♥

Sex Work Positivity

Sex work is respectable work, and we will not tolerate judgement towards sex workers here. Sex workers are welcome to post/promo their content in the respective NSFW channels. Be kind, respectful, and follow boundaries set by each individual on this.

Taboo, to Predatory topics/behavior

Try to keep light on more extreme kinks in NSFW spaces. Moving forward we’d like to ask that art around these things be tagged with spoilers and content warnings. Please don’t push the boundaries on this, we do not want to judge others on their kinks.
What you do with yourself and consenting partners and stories is your business and whatever it gives you is valid. I especially want to stress that we don’t exactly need reasons on liking X or X, and that some of us process our traumas or healthily engage with mental states through art and stories.
Just be mindful of your peers, this is not quite the space to share too much on these. Please find proper communities, channels, etc for these kinks 👍

Do not kink shame

Do not attack, shame, or generally hassle others on their kinks. You’re free to have your personal feelings and opinions on whatever kinks, but it is inappropriate to go after others on this. If you have some concerns around something feel free to contact the moderators of the community on whatever platform, otherwise mods will delete / timeout / ban as they please on comments directed at others in these ways.

On the other end of this, pedophilia and zoophilia are not tolerated. “MAPs” “NOMAPs” “ζ” are all included in this.

Support for others who’ve been outed on these is unacceptable and will result in removal. Discussion on drug abuse and addiction as a kink are prohibited. Along with this, pushing harmful material onto nonconsenting individuals is not tolerated. There may be other subjects to be listed as inappropriate in the future as we learn more information.

⛔ MILITARY . COPS . GUNS ⛔

Pro cop/military rhetoric is not tolerated.

For people of color employed by the military, and veterans, we understand that sometimes there’s not really any other options.

Generally speaking, as long as you recognize that these systems have, and still hurt many groups of people here and across the world, then there shouldn’t be much of an issue.

With guns I’m generally fine with hunting as long as it’s not trophy hunting.

Outside of that I would prefer any discussion on guns to not come up here. My personal stance on individuals having guns for protections, is that I am okay with marginalized folks keeping things for self defense. However those in the safest of positions don’t really get much of a pass to me.
Trying to be silly and fun about this will probably get you removed from this community.

💡 DISCUSSIONS 💡

This space is not quite set up as an escapist space, more than it’s a space filled with solidarity and mutual care.

We’re aware that our existence as marginalized identities are political, and so these discussions will come up. We welcome people to share their experiences, concerns, etc. Lightly going about it on various channels is okay, but for long discussions we request it go into the specific discord channels.

There’s no space for bad faith discussions.

Mods here have my trust to make the call on what they deem as bad faith, malicious, hurtful ignorance, dismissive, etc.

Remember that education by marginalized individuals is a form of emotional labor.

No one is obligated to answer, and no one is entitled to any answers. You can always google things. All of us, including marginalized folks, should do our part in working to deconstruct internalized bigotry, white supremacy, etc. It takes a lot of time, and it is uncomfortable. Many of us do not want to put in the labor to process that for others.

Stick to English in our community spaces, sorry we just don't have many moderators who are fluent in other languages.

Avoid “trauma dumping” please.

This is unloading traumatic experiences onto others without warning or invitation. I will also be including unhinged ramblings in this. We do not have any vent channels, and encourage people to seek out resources with trained mental health professionals.

No AI generated “art”, NFTs, or cryptocurrency.

This will result in permanent removal from our community. I will say however, that AI tools aren't inherently banned. Generally the larger issues with this come from the lack of ethics considered by many of these tools.
